Designed by the Los Angeles office of Zimmer, Gunsul , Frasca, Huron Valley Glass will be undertaking the Silverman Molecular Biology Building at Northwestern University’s main campus in suburban Chicago, Huron Valley Glass will be utilizing our new HVU 750 & HVU 900 unitized high performance Curtainwall system, produced in our Akron Ohio plant. This $2.7 million contract with Turner Construction is good addition to our Chicagoland portfolio of projects.
The factory assembled and glazed curtain wall system includes certain notable design features include 8 foot mullion spacing, integration with precast panels in both a punched window and a strip window arrangement as well as a ˝” thick aluminum plate perimeter accent that becomes a prominent part of the architecture.
