This ultramodern city hall complex for the city of Warren features a dramatic 6-story atrium with sloping curtainwall and metal panel prow. Accenting brick and masonry facades incorporate many different fixed and operable window systems by HVG.
Newman Smith, a well regarded local architectural firm created Vertical sunscreen fins mounted to the exterior of the south facing windows act to cut solar heat gain in addition to there value as a nice architectural feature. A very functional and attractive feature.
Working exclusively from lifts, HVG placed the preassembled curtainwall units to the complicated steel. At the lower level a curvilinear all glass curtainwall flanks the library space to the rear of the complex.
